Feedscrews and Barrels: Manufacturing of New and Repair of broken or worn-out

Our team of design engineers has the knowledge and hands-on experience to provide you with the best solution to make your process run efficiently.

In most cases, feedscrews and barrels can be rebuilt at a considerable cost savings over replacement. Feedscrews flights are rebuilt with Stellite or Colmonoy Hardfacing, which lasts longer than a new general purpose feedscrew. We can rework root diameters, change compression ratios, replace broken drive ends and tip ends, repair I.D. threads, etc. Rebuilt feedscrews can also be Industrial Hard Chrome Plated or Nitrided. Barrel resleeving consists of measuring the barrel, determining length of sleeve necessary to return to OEM specifications, machining out the old liner, resleeving with the desired material, tapping all threads, and polishing.
